When Shit Happens…

When things don’t go the way we want them to, we tend to focus on less important aspects and miss the point.

The point is that we should develop, transform, grow, get wiser and happier, etc., as a result of the experience. We are the point.

Instead, we tend to focus attention and work on circumstances and expected outcomes. That’s to focus externally. But all the good stuff is within.

Circumstantial preoccupation is a habit resulting from powerlessness under threat.
