I’m just another guy who has lived some life and done some things. I’ve lived long enough, done enough, and thought enough about it to think I have something to say. You be the judge.
After a schizoid professional life flipping back and forth between information technology and residential building construction, you can understand why my six sons are a bit conflicted about employment. At least they weren’t taken by surprise when I decided to bag it all and start a career as a writer. Go Dad.
I tried to get away from kids for a while in San Carlos, Mexico. Every time I try to get away, they just draaaaagg me back in. Aw, you know I love it.
When I’m not writing, I spend time with people. No joke, I do spend time with people. I love hanging out with my sons and their friends. Token old guy or not–and they say it’s NOT–I can’t think of anywhere else I’d rather be. Except, maybe once in a while, somewhere with sun and warm salt water and lots of fish that I can dive for. Like Mexico. Or Belize.
It looks like sons and friends RULE! I’m sure that they’ll keep me top side in the cold, wet gray of the Pacific NW for a while longer.
That’s OK. You can’t write much hanging out under water.

Yeah, free diving (no tanks). I like spearfishing and it’s easier to move around tankless. Where do you dive? I think the water your way is a lot colder than here.

I used the present tense because I’m holding on to what I really want to do. Scuba- but would love to free-dive. S W can work, learnt in Menorca. I’d like to free-dive with you one day! My first dive? the instructor found me an abalone shell and I still have it as a necklace 🙂 I love the feeling of wellbeing being underwater, don’t you? x
